The 2018 30 Gram Chinese Silver Panda Coin

Each of the 2019 30 Gram Chinese Silver Panda Coins issued through this listing today is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The individual coins are housed in protective packaging, while multiples are available in quantities of 15 or 450 coins. The quantities of 15 typically ship in Chinese Mint trays, while multiples of 450 are available in boxes.
Chinese Silver Panda coins debuted in 1983, but have only been regularly issued in a bullion version since 1989. The 1983-1985 Chinese Silver Pandas were less than 1 Troy oz in weight and had just .900 silver content. No silver coins were issued in 1986. The 1987 coins had an established standard of .999 silver content and 1 Troy oz weight.
On the obverse of all 2019 30 Gram Chinese Silver Panda Coins is the image of a Giant Panda. This distinctive species of bears is found only in mainland China near the south-central highlands. The bears are distinctive and easy to spot courtesy of their white-and-black fur, with most creatures having black patches of fur around the eyes.
The reverse side of 2019 30 Gram Chinese Silver Panda coins includes the image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This building is the largest in the Temple of Heaven complex within Beijing and was constructed between 1406 and 1420. The Temple of Heaven complex itself is one of four major religious complexes in the city constructed by previous emperors.
All Chinese Silver Panda coins are now issued, as of 2016, with Grams as the unit of weight rather than Troy ounces. The Chinese Mint issues Silver Panda coins for the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Bank of China, but never uses mint marks to denote mint of origin.
