2024 Australian Koala 1oz 999 Silver Bullion Coin

The Australian Silver Koala was released in 2007 by the Perth Mint. Like other coins in Perth Mints annual collections, the Silver Koala has a new design element on the reverse side.

The 2024 Australian Koala 1oz Silver coin shows a fully-grown koala clutching to a tree branch. Also shown on the coin is ‘AUSTRALIAN KOALA’, the year-date, coin weight, and fineness. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also features in the design.

The obverse features the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III and the coin’s denomination. In addition, a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter is included in the coin’s design, which can only be seen under a magnifying glass.
